Table of Contents Abstract
These pages document how I was able to take a Super Nintendo controller and a PS/2 computer keyboard and turn them into a gamepad for SNES9X, an open-source Super Nintendo emulator for the PC. Conceptually, the result is merely a distorted keyboard with all the keys moved around with SNES buttons instead of keys. Very little knowledge of electronics was required for the project, just a rudimentary understanding of what a button does. The pages and photos were taken at the end of the project, so actual step-by-step illustrations are not available, but details are given in the text for anyone wanting to undertake the project themselves. |
